May 15, 2020 (Austin, Texas) — In a new program launching today, Outdoorsy – the world’s largest and most-trusted RV rental and outdoor experiences marketplace – is gifting free road trips to healthcare heroes throughout North America so they can recuperate, once the peak of the pandemic is behind us. The “book one, we’ll give one” program builds on Outdoorsy’s mission to make memorable outdoor experiences accessible to all by connecting RV owners with travelers wanting to reconnect with nature.
For trips booked from now until June 30, 2020, Outdoorsy will match the booking with free road trip nights donated to deserving healthcare workers. The road trip recipients will be selected through an open-to-the-public nomination process to win a three-day, two-night RV rental from Outdoorsy and an annual membership to Harvest Hosts, a membership club for RVers offering free camping at over 1,000 wineries, breweries, distilleries, farms, golf courses, museums and other unique attractions. The winners will also receive a gift card to cover the costs of a stay at Kampgrounds of America (KOA), the world’s largest system of open-to-the-public campgrounds with more than 520 KOA campgrounds throughout North America. Each week, winners will be selected and shared as more nominations and bookings are made.

Turn your RV into a vehicle for doing good. If you’re an RV owner interested in offering your vehicle, sign up to have it featured. In addition to covering the cost of the discounted nightly rate, Outdoorsy will apply a special badge to your listing so our heroes can spot you when booking their well-deserved vacation.

How the program works
Outdoorsy will select a nominee and gift them a free trip every week
Each week, Outdoorsy will select a hero to receive a free trip from Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy will be notified by email if your hero is selected!
Outdoorsy will share your hero’s story on social
Each week, Outdoorsy will announce the name of the selected hero (and the name of their nominator) on Outdoorsy’s social channels.
